How do you get out of a Scandal, you make yourself better: Volkswagon Arteon 

Talk about a filibuster if there is one thing that Volkswagon has been over the past 5 years, the exact opposite wasn't like they were already drowning already with Diesel gate. I don't really like to dwell in the past because as time shows you find out that everybody is doing the same thing, but essentially Volkswagon got caught using cheat software in their diesel vehicles to optimize the mpg for the kings of making things more expensive but also more safe it's the EPA fuel regulators for the USA.  So in trying to meet reg's they couldn't make it so like fake engine noises in cars today they faked the fuel economy if they didn't tell you were going to pay .... and I mean pay big.
All that behind them Volkswagon needed a comeback and the one trusty friend that no one can turn there back on is the Golf. This is a hallmark all-purpose car that fills the ranges of all from the northeast to the west coast its evolution has yielded it Icon status. Next, they tapped into the growing CUV/SUV market with the Volkswagon Atlas an extraordinary entry that should not be overlooked Volkswagon has touched all with this 7 seven seater its weakest point include the engine choices but Volkswagon has a strong TT V6 that can slot in and make this more than a competitor just to look at. The Tiguan performs the duty as CUV, but where is that hallmark car, not phaeton level but maybe more in touch with a BMW 4 series as I can't really settle on a Volkswagon competitor they are not Super luxurious nor Super cheap some may laugh but this thing is Ikea on wheels.

Welcome the Arteon, Volkswagon swing on the bat that takes cues from its close cousin the Audi A5/S5. The design an upgrade from its previous coupe hot rod the Volkswagon CC which was also a sexy vehicle. How does this end up cheaper than Audi, it uses Volkswagon weak TTV6 I call it weak because it severely detuned so it doesn't go to upmarket on the Audi. The least they could do is offer a 320HP version to say with the market. I am coming with the engines because this cloudy market of Ikea has some competitors mainly the recently released Kia Stinger which is offered with 365 HP.  So what is Volswagon really trying to other factors  that have ill effects include the price point, this beauty is still entrenched in the Buick Regal GS moniker a nice looking entry but really no play I hope this is 5 1/2 second car 0-60 though these numbers don't matter can I pass a Semi is all that comes into play.

The interesting part of the VW is that it will probably be sportier than the normal A5, kinda like how Kia is supposed to be sportier than Genesis an ingenious idea if they are able to pull this off.  Is this a Passat with a much more sexy body YESS!!! are there shortcomings other than the engine, the fact that the outside doesn't match the insides,. The Arteon is a sexier Passat, and there is nothing wrong with that the lines and LED set up for the outside lights give a hint that it is at a step above the Honda Accord. What is going to differentiate this car is the lines and optional features that come standard. The space for a sedan coupe rivals some of the bigger honchos in the business including the Porshe Panamera. The one complaint with all the good looks bring in the V6  please the VR6 at 320 HP should do the job. If your looking for something that's 1 up from your Camry this is the car for you. 

If any one is wondering why I don't mention the Apple Car Play, back up camera, and safety systems because in 2019 these are now available on your 14K Kia Forte brand new. There all doing the same things.
