The Wagon Wars: Before CUV's these were here....there back faster than ever

Time day and age now if you happen to have a Brady Bunch or a bunch of roomies there is no doubt that these will come in handy to get to your destination as fast possible. These select station, excuse SPACESHIP WAGONS can propel you 0-60 in under 4.5 seconds and some of these vehicles when the regulators are removed can reach speeds of 200 mph. This pick of the poison is like choosing between getting bit by a Taipan, Belcher Snake, or Philippino Cobra so many ways to die in this atmosphere. The classes of top-class wagons span from US to German manufacturers and have aggressive styles to hyper passive they all share the common trait high speed and defying aerodynamics. Let's kick this off with #1:

2018 BENZ AMG E63 S AMG WAGON
Time creates openings and advancements and to date, despite the strong showing from wagons in yesteryear, this is the newest and the best wagon that money can buy. The Merc continues the dominance of 2017 with its sedan version of the vehicle to introduce a powerful wagon that is essentially the same car with added trunk space. This is not the fastest straight line performer but when you equate price and cornering ability hard to beat this puppy.

4.0 TT V8
HP: 603 HP 627 TQ
0-60: 3.4 Seconds
Lateral G: .96 g
Top Speed: 180 MPH * (Limited)
Base Price: 104K

2017 AUDI RS6 AVANT
An old school car now, this had the crown for many years still one of the more sexy vehicles of this time. The RS6 certainly still catches your eye the moment you look at this beast from German land. A powerful stance the car is more appreciated in person. Sporting a similar 4.0L configuration it's no wonder why is difficult for anyone else to come close to claiming the crown. This was the go-to wagon and still is a strong player the competition thickens but this falls in place at #2 age the most pressing factor.

4.0 TT V8
HP: 605 HP 516 TQ
0-60: 3.7 seconds
Lateral G: .92 g
Top Speed: 189 MPH * (Limited)
Base Price: 100K (not sold in USA)

Porshe Panamera Turbo E Hybrid Gran Tourismo 2018
Looks and power alone this would've won but the demerits come on with the price and cornering ability. It is just not fair to have such a sexy weigh so much from the battery consolidation but this doesn't help with manoeuvrability another key component to a fast car, the roads aren't all straight even in Florida.

4.0 TT V8 - Electric Hybrid
680 HP 626 TQ
0-60: 3.2 Second
Lateral G: .90 g
Top Speed: 192 MPH
Base Price: 184K (Ouch why it's not number 1)

Cadillac CTS V WAGON 2013
So sake can you see, Merica's good wack at the luxury wagon was the V. The CTS was the entry into the fray design wise unmatched the vehicle is special. Tremendous power via a supercharger instead of a twin turbo engine, this use to be the sportiest of the group until the E63 AMG S and at this time is probably the cheapest 500 HP car that you can buy. If looks where the only factor than bias from my end art and science design suits me just fine. The lines hard edge aggressive and will constantly get you look no matter where you go. For 30K you can squeeze one of higher mileage versions out but watch your wallet Cadillac costs as much as the Germans for repair.

6.2L V8 Supercharged
556 HP  551 TQ
0-60: 4.0 Second
Lateral G: .93 g
Top Speed: 190 MPH
Base Price: 70K

JAGUAR XFR Sportbrake S
To think the sedan was too many problems to handle add in a bit more weight in the back for more stability thank god because the sedan can be a hand full at full throttle. No one thought it would happen but Ja-Guwar released it same set up with a big supercharged engine Jaguar wasn't the fastest nor the sportiest but played the middle fairly well. This car is truly beauty meeting the beast a little more subtle but not much safe at the top of its limits the Jaguar comes in 5th place just for the fact the made the thing congrats

5.0L V8 Supercharged
550 HP  501 TQ
0-60: 4.5 Second
Lateral G: .91 g
Top Speed: 186 MPH
Base Price: 100K

BMW M5 Touring
The fastest stock wagon in the group but also the oldest because BMW has not released another M5 to market. The V10 is why this car is still alive and it can squeeze in 0-60 in under 4.5 seconds on some roads, like the Jag its a marginal player never really excelling in anything but in it's and in this time the touring can reach up to 200 MPH because of the high revving V10 engine. A special beast we had to put this car

5.0L V10 NA
500 HP  383 TQ
0-60: 4.8 Second
Lateral G: .91 g
Top Speed: 200 MPH
Base Price: 100K

You got'em now don't say ugly Space Wagon any longer I shared with you the cream of the crop.
