Vantage Serve, Check mate, hello how are you my lady.... To the tune beauty strikes again Aston makes another mark in the hearts of all artisan of car design. This pulled straight from the Bond Movie with improvements. The Vantage release perpetuates a long-standing notion that Aston's are growing from GT mastery into the realm of a full Automobile company with Sports Cars, 4 doors and Jeeps. This niche ride has lended themselves to this magic moment the day they enter market filled with competition but none with the aura an affordability of the new Vantage. Starting at $150K there is no doubt that this car will be the dynamic hero for the current Aston line up.

The changes all start with Mercedes yes, the world acclaim German automaker is sourcing engines to Aston to the tune of the 4.0L V8 found in the AMG GT. This opera of twin turbo's if you can hear it breaks open the crackle and pop to a segment that is dying for a change. What this sourcing does is lower the price point but as well as lower the exclusivity, for those who say this is another AMG GT or C63 AMG than the Porshe Panamera is a rebadged Audi A7 let's not get into the details the engine is special and would befit any car under 1/2 million. The spec's for the engine

  • 0-60 - 3.5 seconds
  • Top Speed - 195 MPH
  • 510 HP 505 LB TQ
  • TT 4.0L V8
  • ZF 8 Speed Transmission

Through the eyes of the beholder the Aston appears smaller with a shorter more sporty appeal but in essence it's the same car, dimensions do tell the presence factor wider than a Corvette without about the same length as a mustang the target is simple, the AMG GTR, the Porshe 911, and Jaguar F Type. Amongst this company standing out is key the design isn't that far away from a futuristic Japanese design but the English touches bring it the British Accent we so adore. The car screams sports car and with a 2.4 lock to lock ratio I aspect this to be the best handling Aston in the history of the car maker. 50/50 weight distribution and dry weight of 1530 KG (low 3,000 lb) the combination reaks of a car that can take over the reigns from Porshe and that is Aston's goal to become more mass market.

  • Torque Vectoring
  • Adaptive Damping
  • Dynamic Stability Control/Rear Mult link
  • Electronic Power Steering system

The Porshe model has spread and more niche car makers are jumping on the train such as the new
Lamborghini Urus. This new Aston is the first step and expect SUV's plus new 4 door's to follow in these end of times; The war to stay relevant as the driverless cars come into fruition has heated up, Only the strong will survive.
