Audi A7 - Suprise Suprise it got better

admin   Fri, 20 Oct 2017  MACHEENE | Report Abuse 2019 Audi A7

All the talk around town in beautiful germans is the E63AMG-S the newly revised Porshe, but than we forget another big hit that's been pacing the airwaves for years as the top 4 door coupe competitor in the market. The butt really was the only drag but it was a love hate relationship like the Porshe Panamera you either likes it or you hated it. This time around the formula is the same the body still talks like a coupe but the removal and changes inspire for the first time in a long time a Sporty distinctive Audi. Most all your hear is this is the same bla bla bla, Audi has taken a little bit of that wind and blown back with this amazing release.

If this is the front end to expect from its sports models than we have an all out race until the dire end, performance that is already there in the RS7 which barely got beat by the new Mercdes E63 lends more intuitive minds to suggest that it will come out on top or even to the current benchmark. Understand the CLS is its main competitor but the engine power should fall in line and Benz recent story that they will release the top performing Benz in the GT moniker begs the question is there more to boot from the Audi competitor. As for now performance aside the design war has begun and BMW better tread lightly or they will soon be out of the race.

Design:
It's obvious the shared design from the Panamera the Audi has a similar swoop. The One thing is completely laid out to function correctly will start with the interior like its Porshe stable mate buttons are disappearing in this car no knobs no buttons the car is made for the 21st century in this latest drive of MMI. The digitized A7 gets the influences found in the A8 with the added stealth sportiness found in its more appreciated models such as the Audi R8. Raised from the new design centre it is certainly the insides that count as the new A7's cockpit is driver focused with a strong propensity to evoke a feeling in a brand that has been left to the mhhh's of the world. This new makeover certainly derives some of it's influence to the Panamera, but the Audi rests at a lower price point and in some folks eyes may do the job better, moving air vents aside.

Fitted with the latest firmware you can join apple car play and all the AI like safety features that make the car Audi again the Clark Kent treatment. GUI is the new code name is an iteration of driver feedback that since the knobs are gone allows the user to get feedback for any movement type that they make. This once upon a time was released in a system called CUE from Cadillac but as you know the Germans like to master things before release ... no pun intended.

If ever a commitment to design could be played to the lighting with so many lights it would shame Rockafeller's show in NY square on christmas I suppose the HD Matrix LED with Lasers take the hint from Star Trek and will have you saying beam me up Scotty.  A silhouette of race cartouches with the tail light in the midsection of the trunk panel and the panel line up that includes 12 segments all in the same row separated by narrow touches, trons legacy succeeds hear for the back end. 3D is the operative word for the front the lights move the large front engine hood sits like a GT car, and the ending solves your blind problems with additional LED lamps which suffer from Audi's skinnier deck eyelid with accentuates a subtle beauty. The interior can't be left to the dogs it also offers a number of options well in this case nearly 30 different lighting options for you to consider when rolling around the towns.

Narrow shoulders, a single frame grille that tilts the front end forward, the exception to the rule if this is a hatch than the segment has changed. The Audi now fits the coupe montra, wider and lower, sitting still but racing through your mind is what will come to thought. If you thought this was all look and no show, be advised Audi still has the 4.0L V8 and for the first release it will use the 3.0 V6 TFSI pushing 340 HP and pushing your head back to 60 in 5.3 seconds this is not even the sportiest model. That added to the steel/aluminium composite lightweight structure poses the biggest threat to the Titans (BMW, BENZ, PORSHE) and the resetting of the war tactics just when Mercedes Benz puts its feet up Audi does this. In a recent race, the Audi played a close 2nd place to the E63 AMG S up to 60 I am scared to see what a retuned 7 Speed Tip-Tronic will do as all things are equal on the engine and the pain comes from your gearing.

The Lights the sound the action - Motion Picture ....Audi has played it well and this A7 is nothing to throw a hat at. It's back to the drawing boards and off to the next 6 months where we should see a new competitor. As for now it's a slow bleed and Audi has the sword.
