The environmentalist continue to save the world and I am more happy for it we get to breathe clean air, we live longer, less diseases and hopefully a couple more million years for the earth. I just send all the nice things for the green planet because of the green team, now let me rest my case.  See engines are like Sugar you know you have many varieties Splenda, Nutrasweet, Sweet n Low, and Equal etc etc . I could stick this in the beverage of my choice and get a good taste but at the end of the day something just doesn't feel right. You know a cake with brown sugar vs a cake with equal are two different things. That's how it is with these turbo charged, hybrid engines I'll leave Mercedes and Audi alone because they did something special. That said no matter what trickery you use the difference between a Ford GT350 and a Turbo Charged M4 are infinite hence why one is praised and given the awards in all of your favorite magazines. A couple of cars that are holding strong to the powerful naturally aspirated high-performance engine include the

Lexus - 4.6L V8
Ford - 5.0L V8 Voodoo Engine
Porshe - 4.0 Straight line 6
Audi/Lambo - 5.2 V10
Aston Martin - 6.0 V12

The reason for this article .....Ferrari just doesn't care and they are playing the game the way it's intended there way... See every car manufacturer in Europe have moved to the AWD, Turbo or Hybrids Ferrari, on the other hand, chooses to keep the heart and soul of their automotive history. You want downsizing take this

6.5 Liter V12

The numbers equate to 788 HP and 530 Ft lb of torque, go big or go home is the motto from a company that caters to a niche market who really don't care about the EPA regulations.  Ferrari releases their best dual personality vehicle since the F12 in which this car plays replacement for.  One trick pony I think not Ferrari started from the track so why end it there what they've done well Electronic Power Steering has been something you can get away from, but the new Side Slip Control (SSC) takes some tricks from Porshe in what I call easy to push at the limits.  PCV on the F12 TDF the top specialty model from the predecessor to the 812, finds its technology on the standard model which is an upgrade. From the looks, this may well be the best front engined V12 that money can buy and probably be the last model that could be made with the humbling taxes that could come because of the pollution taxes.

Design Wise is where the questions arise no doubt from a dynamic stand point this is a step up, but the great design of the F12 is hard to match, Aston Martin is having similar problems. The front end is what I question but be advised this is still subjective and no one can make the call except your wallet. The back end a silhouette of future and old the 4 circular lights remind you that Maranello survives. The 812 builds on tradition and just improves it to make it the most potent of the dual personality models with a Naturally aspirated engine but the questions still arises should Ferrari become a follower, or be left in the dust.... we shall see but thank you for the instant Classico.
