Pardon me can I get some more "Grey Poupon"

admin   Sun, 10 Sep 2017  MACHEENE | Report Abuse The state of affairs some things change with time but other stately structures remain with slight updates to keep up with modern times. When we talk about stately like the Queens Castle, in the car world the Bentley is attached to the old brigade, the times of being driven having a butler and a cups of tea in the morning while reading the newspaper. I miss those days, well at least watching those who lived those moments. We now have tablets, starbucks, and a plethora of more sporty cars that have the left the GT concept in the dusk. Could there be light in this sea of CUV's and SUV craze that forced Bentley a VW brand to use the Q7 platform and create one of the greatest SUV's created the Bentayga.

Long Live the Queen.....the continental returns with even more GT like proportions the vitality of a few surgeries have brought this car to the modern age. Even though there were more sporty variants in the past we have now have an entry point that delivers and assisted by the aforementioned VW platform. The Bentley is still a Bentley through and through but the advantage of having a multi-billionaire funding partner is technology and chassis design were the poorer cousin Audi and less poor Porshe is a leader in the market segment.

Take a look my dearest.....

Slimmer but longer, with the new work out adage for cars this Conti comes in 80 KG lighter with all the additional technology equipment needed to drive autonomously. The process of making this special vehicle design includes Super Form technology a unique technique working with aluminum heated to 500C, creating a more sculpted in your face angular look to the Bentley. The big change to the rear moving to different look with oval taillights ellipses that match the lower exhausts. LED matrix which is found on the Porshe, and Audi finally makes way to the Bentley. In another, I am here statement the 22in wheels make the magic real, along with the extended bonnet which gives the engine room to move more to center which will aid the agility.

Speaking of handling to the sporty crowd Bentley doesn't sacrifice its world renowned comfort to sort of come at the Porshe dynamic it uses a 48 Volt control system this moves the actuators by estimation of road surfaces, feeding input through corners with precision. The combination is one that is making the Bentley a very if not the most intriguing in the GT market segment which includes the Aston Martin DB11, Mercedes Benz S65 AMG, and Rolls Royce Ghost Coupe, and the new cheaper entry Lexus LC500.

Power choices:
  • 6.0L W12, TTV8 to come from Audi found in RS7
  • 8 Speed Dual Clutch
  • 0-60: 3.6 seconds
  • Top speed 207 mph

With the W12 released I will stick to talking to that 626 HP and 664 lb tq (900 NM) hand built caviar. Top speed for the base model, if it's not over 200mph your not in the game this will take you to 207mph. Who new cruising the mountain scapes of Spain could take such a short amount of time. In a change that almost surely shows the sporty ambitions of Bentley without a new spoiler and aero kit, they add the 8 Speed Dual Clutch with the torque converter gone I worry about the shifts comfort but we can see the recently rolled out panamera turbo with a similar dual clutch having no issues with the shift appointment, 8th gear is a gas saver as you can reach 207 in 7th gear.

Rotating screens

The big win now that there is a VW partnership is the electronics.Rotating display/digital instrument panel this car enjoys all of the safety, and navigation advantages that can be hand in the Audi. This in itself is a win win for Bentley as the interior still exudes Victorian luxury on a scale not seen in any other vehicle. This is a car that could sit in a garage and not be driven it's an art piece and the interior changes close on a silhouette that will be in the dreams of many average joe's such as myself. The Picasso on wheels is ready for you
