To the Ring TONNYYY ATLAS: NOOO THAT'S A VOLKSWAGON

So we lied on the Diesel so we want to make up for it. VW is at it again touching areas that have never been touched by VW before. If you can't beat'em join them is the motto and big corporations are killing the CUV field so much so that Volkswagon has added a big 7 seat Dreamliner next to the Passat and Golf. That's right you heard me Volkswagon has an SUV, what are your choices now, well if your thinking this starts at $51K you would be totally wrong.  The big SUV, Ford please be weary starts at $31K that mean's it is competing amongst the likes of the Ford Explorer, GMC Acadia, Toyota Highlander Nissan Pathfinder. I never understood where VW fits in the market but it seems to be a slightly above the market entry level luxury vehicle. It fills the void that can't be captured by Audi because of price point.

When they named the car Atlas make no mistake it was named appropriately as this car is huge, and like most European SUV's its built in the USA. I have been to cities in Europe this family truck would be hard to maneuver, there is a reason why Volkswagon tallied this specifically for the US market.

Specs:
  • Wheelbase 117.3 Length: 198.3 Width 78.3 Height: 70.0 in
  • 18in and 20in Wheels Available
  • Full LED Front Lighting
  • Customizable Instrument Panel / Ambient Lighting
  • 7 seats

Engine and AWD:

The Tiguan Volkswagen's first attempt at an SUV was a fairly strong performer off road. When talking about the latest iteration of a different kind of vehicle (family mover) the Volkswagon should flow down most of it's artistry with the off-road prowess with this less expensive model. They do so but using Audi's standard line of more power to the fronts and when it get's sticky you get the rears to move or power to all sides through an electronic differential that locks.

Screenshot straight from Volkswagon so it can't be wrong, the engine choices:

What's clear as day are the 4 different driving modes that are unavailable that helps you navigate the terrain a lot easier in this case you have an ECO - Normal - Sport - Individual for your own customer specialty setting. In all this an affordable entry into the market, that helps VW regain the public's trust as well as sales. That's a SLAM for Mr. Atlas.
