You know the saying if you don't continue to improve you will just be passed by obsoleted by society. The saying holds true much more strongly for the automobile sale arena. Every year the envelope is pushed, it's high pressured, it's evolutionary and nothing really stays the same. The toughest market to stay on top of is still the top selling market of today the entry-level midsize sedan market. The competition is thick and the engineering teams are deployed to make magic every 3 to 4 years of the development cycle. The one thing that holds true even with all the competition there are two players that stand supreme and one king out of Japan that has been running the show for years. Which one you say, it's TOYOTA the empirical midrange king topping sales in the auto market for the last decade. This year at the Detroit auto show they decided to make more in-roads with the release of the Toyota Camry their real crown jewel along with the little brother corolla

What an start to 2017 this may be the year of Toyota the car comes fully redesigned with a flair that brings it to entry level luxury.  The competition has really pushed the envelop with perennial foe the Honda Accord leading the onslaught against the Camry my guestimate is Toyota leadership stated wipe them out and boy does it look like it can.

See list of Foe's below by Macheene Rank:
  1. Honda Accord
  2. Chevrolet Malibu
  3. Mazda 6
  4. Ford Fusion
  5. Hyundai Sonata
So the plot thickens, let us check out a video from this new Camry.

Let's get over to what they're bringing to the nuclear fight (no longer knife) and I'll set off with the drivetrain choices

Everyone knows Toyota wasn't known for being the most of sporty of cars but here is the change before the full on Electric car onslaught. The chassis and driving dynamics have a new high strength steel platform which enhances the rigidity. In Toyota's inner Corvette they decide to now compromise and offer a double wish-bone suspension to the rear which makes me think that this starting to look like an entry level Lexus vehicle except the price point is the same as the mid-range entry 10 years ago. Bravo Toyota-San.

To make it safe with all of those engine changes, you know there 10 million replacement units possible with this vehicle that's how many have been sold since 1983 take a look at Toyota's latest AI technology:

  • Standard Toyota Safety Sense package includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD), Full-speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System (DRCC), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA), Automatic High Beam (AHB)
  • Available Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Intelligent Clearance Sonar (ICS) with Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB)
  • Available Bird’s Eye View Camera with Perimeter Scan
  • Enhanced body structure/platform through a new high-strength body that offers increased occupant protection in the event of a side or front collision/impact in offset or head-on collisions
In all this seems like a good buy for 23K much less 30K lets enjoy the next 10 million in total sales at Toyota.
