I Tried on These Pretty Summer Pieces From Free People, and I'm Obsessed

In L.A., it's pretty much summer all year long. Even so, when summer officially begins, I get ultra pumped. Not only will I be spending my days walking to the beach from my apartment (Venice perks), but I've got vacation plans filling up my calendar left and right in beachy cities all over the globe. I'm determined to find cute summer clothes and accessories to come along with me on this season's adventures, so my first stop had to be Free People. Its FP Beach and Endless Summer brands are treasure troves of warm-weather 'fits, and don't even get me started on its swimwear selection. Below, I've included everything from colorful cover-ups and bikinis to on-trend sandals and handbags. Keep scrolling to see the 18 pieces you'll find me wearing on the daily this season.

Crochet is everywhere this season, and I mean everywhere. And not to brag, but I think I might have found the cutest style of them all: this FP Beach number. I can't get over this top's perfect and extremely on-trend color situation. (The green! The tangerine!) I paired it with an easy knit skirt and some funky platform sandals, but I could also envision it with some breezy wide-leg trousers and strappy sandals. Since I'm running around beach cities, I paired the 'fit over this Kelly-green bikini because the color from the top peeks through the crochet just a bit to give it a little extra pop. (And, hey, you never know when you're going to have to take a dip in the ocean on a summer day.)

Who What Wear readers, meet the comfiest set of the summer. I'm serious. If I could choose one thing to wear until Labor Day, it would be this. It's giving that slouchy, laid-back, "I just got back from a morning surf" vibe. Are you following? You don't need to live close to a body of water to enjoy this duo, but I did wear this dreamy, chocolate-brown Belle the Label swimsuit underneath since my plans consisted of sunbathing in Malibu. I threw on a red, floppy, crochet (yes, more crochet!) bucket hat and these sleek sandals so I could take myself from the ocean to a quick lunch with friends. I'm telling you it's a summer must-have.

More crochet? Yes, please.

Sparkly swimwear is in this season. Just ask any editor.

This comes in so many colors. It's hard to choose a favorite.

Tangerine is an It color for summer, and this one-piece is such an easy way to wear it. The ribbed fabric gives it a special touch.

When scrolling on social media, you'll find so many fashion people in tube tops. The fact that this is a matching set just makes it that much better.

I'm a sucker for a good cutout moment.
