And today, I'm going to bring you the curation of these staples. I'm calling it the essentials edit.
The items coming your way earn that status of “essentials” because they could be styled in a variety of ways and/or could be worn for different occasions. In addition, while forward in nature, they’re also versatile and have classic design details to give them longevity past the current season. In the outerwear realm, there are a few top silhouettes that have moved to the forefront. Yep, oversize moto jackets are one of said styles. This jacket cut took over the spring runways (ahem, Prada), and it's taking over the fashion crowd as well.
Like I mentioned above, the oversize button-down shirt is a tried-and-true forward basic. That ideal style brings an element of elegance and polish to an ensemble. Plus, the relaxed shirt can easily be dressed up or down to suit your needs.
This specific denim trend continues to make lists as a top staple among style-setters because of its easy and trend-forward nature. Loose jeans will just make any ensemble feel cool.
In reference to spring dresses, it's actually the mini or the maxi that reigns supreme. The latter is already a go-to for fashion people because of the chic and easy-to-style nature right now. It's a great choice for transitional weather with a jacket or other layers.
In addition to the moto jacket, the bomber jacket is back as another certified staple. I've literally seen some bomber-jacket iteration (usually in leather or an oversize cut) on just about every single one of my favorite fashion follows.
