9 Spring Trends Every Fashion Person Will Wear Because of Prada and Miu Miu

As far as influential designer brands go, Prada and its sister brand Miu Miu take the cake season after season. Over the past several years, multiple trends that went mainstream were first spotted on Prada and Miu Miu runways, and S/S 24's trends are no exception. Many of the trends we're all wearing this winter were undoubtedly birthed by one or both of these brands (crewneck cardigans, pencil skirts, and pointed-toe flats, to name a few).

I'm sure you didn't think I'd make the above statement without sharing the new trends with you, and you would be correct. Below, I've highlighted some of spring's most prominent trends to come, all of which my eagle eye spotted on the Prada and Miu Miu S/S 24 runways.

Scroll to see the runway birthplace of spring's most highly anticipated trends and shop versions (both designer and more wallet-friendly) of them for your own wardrobe.

It color alert! Burgundy is set to take over where red left off, and everyone in fashion is talking about it.

Satin shoes win the award for the prettiest trend of all the spring shoe trends, and Prada and Miu Miu are the fashion houses that have basically made it a thing for S/S 24

This spring, you can expect people to trade their washed-out denim for inky dark denim, which is in line with the elegant direction fashion continues to go in.

First came miniskirts and then maxis, but this spring the freshest style will the knee-length skirt (says Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, at least).

While I wouldn't get rid of your mini bags, massive bags have entered the chat. No more being without a water bottle, umbrella, and extra pair of shoes.

The latest entry in the preppy fashion realm is polo shirts. Think of them as spring's answer to cardigans.

Perhaps the most fun trend of S/S 24, fringe is here to make all of your outfits more interesting.

As far as outerwear goes, utility jackets are at the forefront. I loved the way they were styled with dressy looks at Prada.

Hot pants aren't exactly new, but Prada and Miu Miu made the trend look more wearable than ever on the S/S 24 runways.
