Feast Your Eyes: These Are the 9 Prettiest Trends of Spring 2021

February is notoriously one of the toughest winter months to get through, as we're all just over it at this point. But the end is near, my friends, and we'll soon(ish) be wearing dresses, shorts, and sandals again. That's enough to inspire me to shop. If you're on the same page, the best place to start is by studying the trends. Specifically, I'm talking about pretty trends. And in my opinion, there's no better season for pretty trends than spring.

Perhaps because we've been stuck at home in sweats for so very long and we're craving beautiful clothes to wear, there are more pretty trends than ever for S/S 21. Designers really leaned into uplifting colors, eye-catching prints, and interesting details that are a big departure from what we were wearing in 2020. Hopeful and fresh and, of course, pretty is the name of the game with these trends.

Keep scrolling to shop 9 of the prettiest trends that are in bloom for spring.

It's no surprise that Netflix's most popular series ever is affecting the way we want to dress. Regency-era prints and silhouettes are popping up among brands' new arrivals in droves. Daphne Bridgerton would be so very proud.

Bubblegum pink is already poised to be the It color of spring 2021, so prepare your closet. Feel free to disagree with me, but I think it looks good on everyone.

The romantic quality of breezy eyelet is undeniable. It never really goes out of style, but it was a particularly strong force among designers' collections this spring.

You already know and love puff sleeves, as they've been a thing for a minute now, but this season, they've taken on an '80s prom vibe. It's impossible to not have fun while wearing bubble sleeves.

Bust details, in the form of corsets and bustiers, in particular, are going to be everywhere this spring. It's sure to be a nice change after months in sweaters and turtlenecks.

Short, chunky chains and pendant necklaces are certainly still a thing, but we saw a plethora of long necklaces on the S/S 21 runways, indicating that it's time to change things up.

Disclaimer: As far as skirts are concerned for spring this year, the shorter the better. If you're into it, go for ones with pretty prints and embellishments to make the most of the abbreviated fabric.

We're enamored with open back tops and dresses here at Who What Wear. Always have been, always will be. There are some beautiful ones already hitting the market for spring, so start looking forward to feeling the breeze on your back.

The most whimsical trend on this list, tutu skirts were surprisingly common on the S/S 21 runways. (Designers love ballet-inspired trends though, so perhaps it isn't all that surprising.) You can really go for it and choose a skirt in pink or lavender, or you can opt for a slightly edgier look with a black tulle skirt.

Next up, the pretty heel trend that celebs and fashion insiders can't quit.
