ECCO.kollektive's Latest Collaboration Comes Courtesy of Ottolinger
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Tue, 08 Apr 2025 HypebaeECCO.kollektive just announced its latest collaboration, off the back of previous team-ups with names like Craig Green and Louis-Gabriel Nouchi. The newest name to join that exciting roster is Berlin-based label Ottolinger, designed by Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient. Teaming up for Spring/Summer 2025, the new collection marks the fifth chapter of ECCO's collaborative series and blends the brand's technical ability with Ottolinger's distinctive aesthetic.
"Our latest collaboration with ECCO is a masterclass in material mischief – playing with textures and finishes in ways you never saw coming," says Bösch and Gadient in a press release. "This collection flips the script on function and form, proving that everyday wear can be anything but ordinary."
The collection favors leather as its key fabric, reimagining it in avant-garde ways, like reviving ECCO's signature "Joke" silhouette, which arrives as a new wedge heel and mule. Landing in hues of silver and pink alongside "Gravel" and "Cashmere," the signature design takes inspiration from the classic '80s era but with a new, high-fashion twist.

Along with footwear, the collection features a slew of ready-to-wear styles, favoring sculptural silhouettes and unique fabrications. Pieces are either billowing and oversized or cropped "daringly short," and include voluminous skirts, tailored shirt-dresses and sliced T-shirts in hues of black, silver and "barely pink."
Crafted from matte, crinkled leather in a bid to mimic crumpled paper, the collection is the masterful result of experimentation and innovation. Completing the offering is a range of accessories like ECCO's PU Kellie Bag and the Frozen Tote.
"ECCO's spirit of innovation is truly singular. It's incredible to see how a heritage brand keeps pushing boundaries. We wanted to fuse their craftsmanship with our out-of-the-box ideas – and ECCO made space for that vision. They really take the time to nurture creativity," adds Bösch and Gadient.
