Coach Brought Bag Charms Back to the Runway at NYFW

Since its resurgence, Coach's fashion week showcases have been the highlight of New York Fashion Week, with fans of the brand eagerly anticipating its next move. Last season, Coach welcomed the return of its ludicrously capacious clutch bags, while Fall/Winter 2025 seems to signal that bag charms are going nowhere fast.

Speaking about his inspiration this season, Stuart Vevers said "My vision for Fall was to ground the collection in all the things that make Coach so distinct as a fashion house: our heritage materials and palette, our commitment to repurposing and 're-loving' secondhand garments through craft, and our belief in the power of community and self-expression. There's a clear, cohesive idea here in terms of materials, silhouette and styling, and that comes from knowing who we are and what we stand for."

WHERE: Coach took its FW25 showcase to the iconic NYC venue of Park Avenue Armory on the Upper East Side, with its set design seemingly inspired by old New York architecture and complete with brick-patterned cloth backdrops.

WHO: Alex Consani walked the runway this season, with an impressive front row that included City Girls' JT along with Madison Bailey, Emily Ratajkowski, Halle Bailey and Audrey Nina.

SEE: This season brought back bag charms in a big way, debuting new, hand-made designs like fluffy teddy bears and knitted carrots. Brightly-hued glasses accessorized each look, landing in bold red, yellow, purple and lime green. In terms of its ready-to-wear, the collection fused subtle, tonal hues of beige, brown and yellow with navy, black and grey. The brand also brought back its Soho sneaker for a second season, arriving in new finishes of leather, silver suede and leopard print.

TOUCH: Leather was the name of the game this season, with the brand's biggest looks featuring leather bags, jackets and even suits. In true FW25 fashion, the collection favored sleek outwear like cropped suede jackets and long leather coats, interspersed with textured, patchwork knitwear and ballooning trousers.

HEAR: This season was soundtracked by the sophisticated sounds of Brooklyn-based indie pop band Nation of Language. The group contributed a live soundtrack for FW25, featuring their original song "A Word & a Wave."

TASTE: Coach FW25 seemed to take corporate workwear to the next level, infusing it with playful embellishments, clashing patterns and slouchy silhouettes. Seemingly ushering in a new generation of office sirens, the collection blended chic, professional styles with tongue-in-cheek detailing. And of course, Coach confirmed that bag charms are still very much on the menu.
