PHILEO and Salomon Come Full Circle

Philéo Landowski has had a busy year. If you've visited the new Dover Street Market in Paris which opened in May, you might have noticed the striking chair installation outside -- designed with artist Tadashi Kawamata alongside Landowski.

But that's even Landowski's latest work. His eponymous brand, PHILEO just teamed up with Salomon for their second design capsule, featuring the "Alpinway 2.0. SP2." This collaboration brings things full circle, as many may not know that Landowski started as a creative consultant at Salomon before launching PHILEO.

The "Alpinway 2.0 SP2" reimagines Salomon's classic "Alpinway" through a constructivist lens, delivering an asymmetrical, streamlined design that explores the tension between city life and nature. The shoe's concept centers around the question, "How can we bring the softness and sincerity of nature into the harshness and violence of the city?" -- as described in the project's press release.

Design-wise, the "Alpinway 2.0 SP2" features Salomon's signature "Sensifit" technology, transparent mesh, intricate stitching, low-profile laces and optimized cushioning with dual-action midsole foam -- providing softness at the heel and strong support overall. Available in two colorways -- black and green.

The sneakers will be released on October 17, and will be available on Salomon and PHILEO's website.
