Creative director Julien Dossena presented Paco Rabanne's Spring/Summer 2022 collection in Monaco on the roof of the city's landmark. The large-scale public installation featured 24,000 tiles designed by artist Victor Vasarely.

"Since this is now our main collection, there was a desire to explore graphism as [a] panoply of ideas," said Dossena in a statement. "There is both a vibration and a hand-feel to these looks that gives them so much texture." The entire line boasts precise details and laid-back silhouettes, resulting in statement dynamic styles. Effortlessly highlighting the figure of the models, garments like dresses, maxi gilets, tunics, smocked blouses and skirts are seen paired with sarouel pants, fluid flares and cuffed pants. Elsewhere, loose tops and over-skirts with cascades of fringe have been reimagined with metal mesh, while long skirts are accentuated with golden paillettes.

In accessories, headwear pieces come in the form of patterned bucket hats and bonnets. Footwear offerings include the Paco Rabanne sabot or clog, as well as platform sandals crafted with crisscrossed laces. "I was thinking not just about optic effects but the synesthetic sensations of summer – the sound of the shore, sunshine warming the skin, light glinting off the water," Dossena commented. "And I wanted to translate these stimulations in ways that would feel immediate, immersive and sensual," he added.
