ANDAM Fashion Award Finalists: Wales Bonner, AREA and More Up for Grand Prize

The ANDAM Fashion Awards has settled on seven finalists for the Grand Prize, consisting of €300,000 EUR and a year-long mentorship with Balenciaga CEO Cédric Charbit.

Nominees for this year's round of the French competition are Wales Bonner, the British label that merges European and Afro-Atlantic influences; AREA, known for its Swarovski-encrusted designs; and Casablanca, the menswear line boasting an ongoing partnership with New Balance. Also up for the coveted award are menswear designer Bianca Saunders, unisex label Ludovic de Saint Sernin, Rokh by Rok Hwang and GmbH, helmed by Serhat Işik and Benjamin A. Huseby (the duo were who were recently appointed creative directors of Trussardi).

ANDAM also named four finalists for the Pierre Bergé Prize, an endowment of €300,000 EUR and a one-year mentorship with Sophie Delafontaine of Longchamp: EgonLab, Ester Manas, Uniforme Paris and Charles de Vilmorin, who was named creative director of Rochas in February. Lastly, three accessories brands -- Aswad, Samuel François and Published By -- will compete for €50,000 EUR and a mentorship with Swarovski's Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert.

The winners of the 2021 ANDAM Fashion Awards will be announced on July 1.
