Supreme Taps Artist and Activist Jamie Reid for Spring 2021 Apparel

While we wait for the streetwear brand's collaborative Nike Air Max 96 to drop, Supreme has revealed another team-up with British artist and activist Jamie Reid for its ongoing Spring 2021 collection.

Raised in Croydon, South London, Reid was born into a family that was politically conscious: "My grandfather and Scottish father were Druids and that was instilled in me alongside a socialist and anarchic background. It's all part of a continuous story for me." Later in the '60s, the activist met Malcolm McLaren with whom he organized student protests in London. By the '70s, Reid launched a magazine titled Suburban Press to protest corruption and corporate development in the Croydon area, which eventually led him to create album artwork for The Sex Pistols.

Reid's signature punk style highlighted with pop culture references is transferred onto apparel pieces like varsity jackets emblazoned with colorful "IT'S ALL BOLLOCKS" text across the back. A similar theme is followed on knit sweaters that read, "F*CK ALL." Elsewhere, a series of shirts feature the same text in a different font at the front alongside a "With Love, Supreme" motif on the back. The capsule is rounded out with hoodies available in black, green and pink.
