Form Meets Function in adidas EQT’s New Season Sportswear Drop

30 years after its debut, adidas EQT is having somewhat of a revival. Dropping a full-scale range of apparel and new takes on classic footwear silhouettes, its latest arrival marks one of the brand’s largest EQT offerings in the past decade.

Having made its mark during an era of bold sporty style, the line – founded by Robert Strasser and Peter Moore – became evidence that function and minimalistic style could in fact exist in the same category of sportswear. adidas EQT was ultimately a breath of fresh air with its essentials-only approach to design, cutting out unnecessary detailing to make way for new innovation.

Channeling the same mindset, the Spring/Summer 2025 drop delivers a selection of garments, footwear, and accessories that focus heavily on technical materials to create an eye-catching line-up. In a new campaign produced by Hypebae, these pieces come into the spotlight against the neoclassical backdrop of SO/Berlin Das Stue with fashion and beauty content creator Jihoon Kim.

Hailing from Korea but now based in the cultural capital, Kim has quickly mastered blending her polished style with Berlin’s notably dynamic yet purposeful dress codes to achieve an all-round dress sense. As seen in the visuals captured by Milena Zara, the adidas EQT garments are styled to fit the content creator’s newfound look with a striking sweatshirt standing out from the array of fits. Woven with reflective yarn and terry cloth in the signature “OG Green”, it provides the perfect outer layer for dark winter nights in the city.

In contrast, her second look bares all with the collection’s red and black one-piece suit hugging the body with its seamless knit make-up, which she wears alongside wide-leg tailored trousers. To round off the lookbook, Kim adorns a versatile everyday fit consisting of a zip-up windbreaker, jogging bottoms, and sports bra, accessorized with her favorite silver jewelry.

Supporting the arrival of the aforementioned garments, adidas will be re-releasing its emblematic EQT Cushion 93 sneaker as well as new colorways of the adidas EQT Takumi Sen. The two-part drop looks to juxtapose the classic with the new age, outlining adidas EQT’s design journey.
