Moschino's New Collection Tributes Contemporary Britishness

Adrian Appiolaza's latest collection for Moschino was a tribute to contemporary Britishness, something that Appiolaza is no stranger to, having relocated to the UK in his twenties. Capturing the "shape-shifting spirit of today's aristocratic 'it' kids," the collection celebrates those who lunch by day and rave by night.

Offering wearers the chance to continually reinvent themselves, the FW25 men's and Pre-Fall womenswear collections favor experimentation and character creation. Flipping great British tropes on their heads, the collection sees iconography like royal corgis reborn as handbags, the concept of high tea and hunting transformed through silk prints and cottagecore reinvented through countryside knitwear.

Elsewhere, tongue-in-cheek signatures of Moschino like Smiley faces and pussy-bow blouses are weaved in with quintessential British references, alongside traditionalized through British textile house Sanderson, and its classic prints. Accessories round out the collection, including shopper totes, crossbody bags and footwear -- including Chelsea and Riding boots. Finally, playful statement bags like biscuit tins, top hats and irons complete the offering.
