Not too long after Kylie Jenner made a surprising appearance in Acne Studios' Fall/Winter 2023 campaign, the social media star and entrepreneur announced the launch of her own fashion label named "KHY."

It's hardly surprising that fashion would be Jenner's next focus, given the frequency of new business ventures within the family and with the likes of SKIMS and Good American providing more than a clear blueprint to follow, but still, the news has come as a bit of a shock to the fashion world.

Announced via Instagram, Jenner shared an image of her sitting on a carpeted floor wearing a black leather jacket, alongside a caption which read, "meet khy." The star also tagged a new IG account with the same name, with its first post being an image of Jenner modelling the same jacket from the back, alongside a caption which read, "coming soon. sign up at khy.com."

Since the initial launch, Jenner sat down with WSJ. Magazine to share a little more about the brand and her inspiration. Created in partnership with Kris Jenner and Emma and Jens Grede (who, for all you KarJenner aficionados may recognize for their involvement with Skims and Good American), the new label is set to feature "different guest designers and concepts throughout the year" at an "affordable price point."

"The whole line is really inspired by my personal wardrobe, and the different moods that I’m in," Jenner tells the publication, adding that the first Khy drop is very "King Kylie—who I am at my core." Set to include a range of black faux-leather pieces and nylon "base layers," the first drop has been created in collaboration with Nan Li and Emilia Pfohl from Berlin-based label, Namilia, who you may know for their "micro dick spike bag" and "porn star" bra top.

According to WSJ, nothing in Khy's first release will cost over $200 USD, and its office is situated on a "campus" in LA alongside Good American, Skims and Frame. At present, Khy has 25 employees, including an in-house design team.
