Tires whizz. Shorts snag. A renaissance of sportswear is among us. With a humorous and playful approach to fashion, CFDA 2022 Future Fashion Graduate Briah Artemis presents her sophomore collection, "Death of A Cyclist," a fusion of athleticism, knitwear and sustainability. Inspired by the brush strokes of Monet and Degas, the collection harnesses the movement of cycling on the brink of despair.

While cycling wear is on the rise in fashion circuits, Artemis's design philosophy takes an environmentally friendly approach. All of her garments have an element of sustainability from using eco-cotton mesh, which mimics sporty gauze to repurposing T-shirts and jerseys to embody the designer's unwavering commitment to zero-waste constructions.

The Spring/Summer 2024 collection offers a range of performance garments from a two-dimensional shirt with slit sleeves emulating bikers' restricted arms to a dynamic mesh dress that can snap off into three different silhouettes. The standout piece from the collection is cheeky G-string biker capris. These pieces may nod their heads to traditional cycling, but each garment is perfect for various moods and occasions individually.

While there is already hype for the gorpcore aesthetic, we won't be surprised if "bikercore" has its moment this SS24 season. Take a closer look at the collection with featured model Ella Snyder  above and while you're here, check out our guide to cycling in style
