Gabriela Hearst officially said goodbye to Chloé after presenting her last collection on September 28 for the Spring/Summer 2024 season.

Initially, the fashion creative joined the brand in 2021 and is known for prioritizing sustainability during her role, just as she had long since done with her own eponymous brand. With her work, Chloé gained B Corp status in the first year of her appointment, demonstrating the fashion brand's commitment to superior performance and business practices, namely transparency and accountability. Most recently, Hearst lent her skills to Angelina Jolie as the actor and philanthropist is set to launch an atelier service, further proving her dedication to creating a world in which fashion could be sustainable without compromising on craftsmanship.

Chloé has now named Chemena Kamali as its new Creative Director. Born in Germany in 1981, Kamali earned a Master of Arts in Fashion at Central Saint Martin's in 2007. With over two decades of experience, she has a history with Chloé, initially joining under Phoebe Philo and later returning as Design Director for Clare Waight Keller in 2013. Most recently, from 2016 until today, she served as Women's Ready to Wear Design Director at Saint Laurent.

Kamali shared in a statement: "My heart has always been Chloé's. It has been since I stepped through its doors more than 20 years ago. Returning feels natural and very personal. I am extremely honored to be taking on this role and to be building on the vision that Gaby Aghion and Karl Lagerfeld defined early in the Maison's history. I hope to capture the emotional connection and spirit of Chloé for today. I am very grateful to Riccardo Bellini, Philippe Fortunato and Johann Rupert for this opportunity and their trust."
