With the Anti-Asian violence in the U.S. still surging, Lyft has partnered up with K-pop star CL to issue ride credits for individuals who feel unsafe during this critical time. As part of the transportation company's LyftUp program, this will help the AAPI community go on with their daily errands without fear.

"There are so many layers of complex emotions when processing the rise of Asian hate crimes in the United States. While there is still a lot of work to be done, I’m encouraged by how vocal and urgent the support from our allies has been," CL said in a press release. "I’m excited to partner with Lyft this month to honor the AAPI community, and help provide a safe solution to those in my AAPI community who are most at risk. Please take care of one another."

In order to help keep the community safe, Lyft will be providing the ride credits to a number of non-profit organizations nationwide, including ones from major cities like New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Through these credits, NAPCA, Asian-Americans for Community Involvement, KYCC, Self Help for the Elderly and more will offer free and discounted rides directly to the communities they serve to ensure everyone can access the transportation.

If you're looking for other ways to support the AAPI community, here is a list of initiatives to donate to and educational resources to read.
