Jenna Ortega *Literally* Slays Unicorns in A24's New Film

As 2024 wraps, news of 2025 film drops continues -- and it's looking quite eventful. Just this week, Megan thee Stallion confirmed Act 3 of her hit album Megan. Now, A24 released the official trailer for its latest dark comedy, starring Gen Z's favorite, Jenna Ortega.
Releasing Spring 2025, Death of a Unicorn is Alex Scharfman's debut as a director -- and the cast is insane. After recently starring in Sabrina Carpenter's "Taste" and wrapping filming for Season 2 of Wednesday, Ortega adds the new character, Riley, to her portfolio. Also leading in the film is actor Paul Rudd, known for his iconic roles in Avengers, Knocked Up and more.
The film's description reads: "A father (played by Rudd) and daughter (played by Ortega) accidentally hit and kill a unicorn while en route to a weekend retreat, where his billionaire boss (played by Richard E. Grant) seeks to exploit the creature’s miraculous curative properties." Other stars featured are Midsommar's Will Poulter and Madam Secretary's Téa Leoni.
As for A24, the film company is also releasing Babygirl, a subversive film starring Nicole Kidman on Christmas Day. As HYPEBEAST added, "Scharfman produces alongside Lucas Joaquin, Tyler Campellone, Drew Houpt, Lars Knudsen, Tim Headington and Theresa Steele Page." As for the score, "John Carpenter, the composer of the Halloween movie soundtrack, his son Cody and longtime collaborator Daniel Davies create the music."
