Model and podcaster Emily Ratajkowski, known for taking over headlines with her dating escapades, reveals a wedding ring update.

For the girls struggling to get married by 25, questioning social norms or already wrapping their first marriage by 28 -- Emrata has a word for you. "So it seems that a lot of ladies are getting divorced before they turn 30," she said in her TikTok video. Ratajkowski notoriously filed for divorce from her ex-husband Sebastian Bear-McClard in 2022, and dedicated her career to empowering femmes via her podcast High Low with EmRata.

In a new Instagram post, Ratajkowski revisits her thoughts on divorce being "chic" with new rings. How is this iconic, you might be thinking? Well, the rings in question are repurposed wedding bands, made for everyday wear.

According to Ratajkowski, it's okay to have "tried that married fantasy and realize that it's maybe not all its cracked up to be... being in your 20s is the trenches" she continued on. The beauty of it is that "you still got your whole life ahead of you." Ironically, where advice for women usually attracts hateful cis men, the comments garnered a community of men and women encouraging young femmes to reject marriage in their 20s too.

Her advice mirrors the viral dating advice Mia Khalifa shared with a TikTok user. "We should not be afraid to leave these people,” she said at the time. "We are not stuck with these people… it’s a commitment you make to someone but if you feel like you’re not getting anything from that commitment, you gotta go.... This is your fucking life, do you want to be stuck with someone?"

As if her advice couldn't be anymore iconic, Khalifa spotted Emirate's divorce rings and continued the discussion via her Instagram stories. "I love all discourse that has been surrounding the idea of divorce rings, and the idea of reclaiming something that has such deep, meaningful sentimental value to you," she said. "Because I'm one of those people who, I can't get rid of anything. Every single little trinket and item in my house has personal meaning to me."

"And to me, if I get rid of those memories, if I get rid of those trinkets, I'm getting rid of those memories. So, the idea of repurposing something that originally had beautiful, deep memories associated with it, that then turns sour or didn't end up the way you wanted.  Or turned out in a way that you want to bury in a drawer and lock it away, and not look at it again let alone wear it again.

Doing something to it to make it feel like a fresh start, to make it feel like you're turning over a new leaf, to make it feel like a fresh beginning, is the most beautiful thing to do honour that past relationship as well."

In other news, Mia Khalifa merges style and sex-positivity.
