Cameron Diaz Says Couples Should Have Separate Bedrooms

Bad Teacher star, Cameron Diaz, chats with the Lipstick on the Rim podcast, revealing a quite controversial dating opinion.

"We should normalize separate bedrooms,” Diaz told podcast hosts and best friends Molly Sims and her best friend Emese Gormley. Her pod mates immediately delivered side eyes, warning her that her hot take might be too controversial -- and boy were they correct.

Diaz, however, continued to stand on business: "To me, I would literally, I have my house, you have yours. We have the family house in the middle. I will go and sleep in my room. You go sleep in your room. I’m fine." The dynamic, although surprising to most, is the lifestyle of many unconventional couples.

"And we have the bedroom in the middle that we can convene in for our relations," she continued. "I’ve already said it," Diaz stated, confused by the shock. She did clarify, "By the way, I don’t feel that way now because my husband  [Benji Madden] is so wonderful. I said that before I got married."

This isn't the first time Diaz has made headlines for a chaotic hot take. The world's last discovery was her not-so-thorough beauty routine. "I literally do nothing," she told podcaster Michelle Visage in 2022. I like never wash my face… Twice a month if I’m lucky, I’ll be like, ‘Oh, I better put this on. One time works, right?’ Like is that all I have to do? I’m just not in that place right now like where I put any energy."
