We Try Hundreds of Fashion Items, But We're Freaking Out Over These 22

Anna LaPlaca  Thu, 29 Jun 2023  Who What Wear

Is anyone in need of some shopping inspiration? Well, nobody asked, but I'm certainly delivering anyway. With a dizzying number of new pieces hitting the market, it can be downright intimidating to peruse what's out there in the hopes of making a little wardrobe update. But that's where I come in, friends. On a typical day, I do some online browsing to highlight the very best shopping picks of the moment, so today, I'm taking it a step further by showing you what we're personally adding to our closets and including some inspirational outfit photos.

There's no doubt our editors are a stylish bunch. (I look to their Instagrams for my own style ideas.) So when I tell you these new tops, dresses, shoes, and bags are it, I think you'll agree. Keep scrolling for the new fashion favorites we added to our closets in June—from the prettiest ballet flats I can't stop wearing to Judith's French-inspired striped cardigan and Eliza's viral Bottega earrings. These are spring's top-notch picks, according to us.

Of all the gems in the epic Simon Miller x Mango collaboration, my favorite piece I tried from the vacation-ready collection had to be these mismatched sun earrings. For being a statement piece, I found them oddly easy to style with my summer wardrobe of white linens.

Tamara Mellon designed them with her 21-year-old daughter, Minty, and they're simply delightful. Ballet flats have become my main shoe style lately, and this pretty pair remind me the most of traditional ballet slippers. I'm not the only one who thinks so, either. The day I wore them, the compliments seemed to roll in by the minute.

Realisation doesn't do many things, but for the few they focus on, they do them really well. This month, the beloved dress label launched a pair of sunglasses, a singular cat-eye style dubbed the Mulholland, and I was immediately smitten with the tortoiseshell version. Per the name, the classic shape lends an old Hollywood feel to just about anything.

"I recently ordered this striped tee by Anine Bing, and I've been living in it. It's super soft (like wildly soft) and the boxier cut gives it a modern feel."

"I've never met a Reformation dress I didn't love, and this one is no exception. I find denim dresses to be extremely flattering and this one is just divine. The A-line shape and midi length make it appropriate to wear at the office—just add a cardigan for chilly indoor AC temperatures!"

"My everyday jeans are the DL1961 Patti Jeans, so I obviously went back to the brand when I needed another pair of basic blues. I settled on the Ella jeans and haven't regretted a thing. I'm tall so I absolutely love the 33" inseam."

"I splurged on the viral Bottega Veneta drop earrings at the beginning of the month when I was in Milan. I know it's a bit of an irresponsible purchase, but I've worn them enough times in the month since to pay them off and know I'll wear them for years to come. They instantly make every outfit a thousand times chicer."

"I tried these on at Saks for my series Let's Get a Room last month and couldn't stop thinking about them afterward. A week and many denim-related thoughts later, I ordered a pair and truly have not taken them off since. They're my new go-to jeans."

"I pre-ordered this Ben Amun cuff a while ago after it had already sold out once and I'm so glad I did because I've already accessorized with it a handful of times in the short time since it arrived."

"I love a striped knit to throw on over dresses and tank tops on breezy summer days and nights. This one from Sezane has the perfect relaxed, cropped fit and is equally comfortable as it is chic. I've been wearing it on repeat this season. I can't wait to get it in more colors."

"I basically live in white tank tops in summer but not all white tank tops are created equal. This one from Amo is perfection—with its ribbed fabric (not see through at all—huzzah!) and its elevated silhouette—it's one of those basics you'll wear for years to come."

"I try not to pick favorites when it comes to white linen dresses for summer but this reformation one feels straight out of a fairytale book. I just took a trip out west to spend time with my family and see some old friends and went for the coastal cowgirl aesthetic, this pretty dress from Reformation was exactly what I had in mind. I also got so many compliments on it, I can't wait to find another way to style it and wear it again."

"I'm a huge fan of a good hat, and this lack of color straw bucket hat has been on my summer wishlist for so long. Now that I finally have my hands on it I can't stop wearing it. It's perfect for a day at the beach or pool, and even looks great with a casual dress or pants and top outfit. What can I say, I'm obsessed."

"I've been loving the controversial jorts trend on other people, but I don't think it's a trend I'll be buying into myself so I opted for a linen bermuda short to wear on repeat this season. These are the perfect length, falling right above my knees and they look so effortless and chic with sneakers, flats, or heels."

"Sneakers are my go-to shoe in the summer, so I bought a fresh pair of Nike dunks for the season. I love the pop of red that these add to my more neutral looks. Bonus points for being extra comfy, too."

"I recently became acquainted with the Vienna-based luxury bag brand, Published By, and I am so obsessed. What I love about their pieces is that they use 3D printing to create these one-of-a-kind sculptural bags and homewares. While there are so many pieces I considered getting from the brand, I landed on adding the Third Eye bag to my collection as it can be styled as a clutch, handbag, or crossbody—plus, it looks like a literal sculpture. For the girlies that like to collect interesting pieces, I can not sing higher praises for this bag."

"Normally, I turn to Jenny Bird for all my jewelry purchases, but I recently got a pair of their sunglasses, and I'm honestly obsessed. The cat-eye frame is so well-made, they're flattering on every face shape, and I always get compliments when I wear them out. Will defiantly be buying another pair ASAP."

"While I think everyone can look good in any color, I've always stuck to orange being *my* go-to shade, especially in the summer. I wore this two-piece skirt set to the Hamptons earlier this month after having it in the back of my closet for months and I swear, I've never got so many Instagram story swipe-ups in my life. The drop-waist trend is huge right now, and when paired with delicate, summer smocking, it's a fool-proof way for an incredibly on-trend, fun outfit."

"My beloved AF1s were so worn out and starting to give me blisters, so it was time to get a new pair of shoes. I was initially eyeing the Reebok Club C Extra, but they were sold out literally everywhere. Then, these classic platform sneakers came in and saved the day. It’s like magic when I put them on—they elongate my frame, make me look taller, and make every outfit more fun."

"This is the perfect comfortable and cute onesie. The design is flattering and functional—it has a criss-cross back, a cutout, and these flowy, airy shorts that keep me cool on hot days. It also has a zipper in the back (bless!), which I put my keys in when I go for walks. I’m currently in love with the Summer Lovin color (a delicate pale pink), but am also eyeing the Mineral Bath and Blueprint colors to get next."
