Nike Debuts Sustainable Performance Shoe, Air Zoom Alphafly Next Nature

Continuing its sustainability efforts through the "Move to Zero" project, Nike has unveiled its most eco-friendly performance shoe to date. Dubbed Air Zoom Alphafly Next Nature, the innovative sneaker is crafted to provide the same benefits as the sportswear giant's NEXT% line.

In terms of design, the silhouette dons a gray knit upper and a pink tongue, while hits of orange are seen on the heel and laterals. At least 50% of the marathon shoe is made out of recycled materials, with the labels and laces using 100% recycled polyester and the ZoomX sock liner using 100% recycled PEBA. The upper is constructed with Nike Flyprint, which is a 3D printed textile with at least 20% recycled TPU. The kicks are complete with a ZoomX midsole made of at least 70% recycled foam. Overall, Nike is reducing production waste through pattern efficiency and recycling material scrap.
