Post Grammy Awards, we spoke with her makeup artist, Dee Carrion, to get the inside scoop on how they ideate her beauty looks, the products that help bring her glam to life and of course, her love of face tape.
On why Doechii loves face tape
We loved the idea of exposing something that's usually supposed to be hidden. In the beginning, we were using them because we loved the editorial look it gave and from then on we wanted to begin incorporating them into her regular style. I began thinking of ways to elevate and bring a unique style to them. The Grammy rhinestone tapes were just the beginning.
On how the duo craft their beauty looks
Usually, it starts with what she's wearing and the mood board or deck. Then, from there, I'll gather inspiration and start digitally sketching looks for her. After, I'll present them and we'll discuss which looks go with what outfit.
