New Balance Reaches New Heights With 990v6 "Sculpture Center"

The New Balance 990v6 is one of the Boston-based brand's most iconic silhouettes and it is now receiving a workwear update thanks to Carhartt WIP.
The utilitarian brand takes creative liberties, painting the hardy sneaker in its signature colors of brown and blue. Utilizing a grey mesh base, three different shades of brown touch the leather and suede overlays, welcoming a rich tan hue, a dusty chocolate brown and a warm camel shade. A soft navy touches the familiar "N" logos on each side, while a pale sky blue appears on the back welcoming golden New Balance logos. The Carhartt WIP-labelled tongue tag boasts an army green matching the sockliner, which features both brands' initials. Bright white laces add contrast, tying the entire design together.
Priced at $220 USD, the New Balance x Carhartt WIP 990v6 "Sculpture Center" will be available on both brand's online stores and select retailers on October 20.
