While Euphoria is known for being jam-packed with salacious drama, the season finale featured a musical respite from the chaos as Elliot, who is played by Dominic Fike serenaded Rue with a heartfelt song, encapsulating their tumultuous friendship. For those who could not get enough of Fike’s stunning vocals, they will be happy to know the actor is releasing the song on March 4.

While the track was a touching tribute to Rue and Elliot’s relationship, many fans found the length of the song to be a bit much, as viewers of the second season finale commented on Twitter, “All the questions left unanswered because Euphoria writers wrote in Elliot singing for 27 minutes. Ok."

Fike took the criticism in stride, poking fun at himself by posting memes of the song on his Instagram story, joking, "The internet remains undefeated. I am humbled."

“Elliot’s Song” was penned by the HBO Max drama’s lead, Zendaya and Labrinth, who is the lead composer of the show’s score. Zendaya and Labrinth have joined forces before as the actor and musician wrote emotional “I’m Tired,” where Labrinth also made a cameo as the pastor Rue hallucinates while on drugs.

Both “Elliot’s Song” and “I’m Tired” will be released on Apple Music, Spotify and all other major music streaming platforms.
