No, Bad Bunny’s Album Isn’t About Kendall Jenner
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Wed, 08 Jan 2025 HypebaeAs of 2023, celebrity couple Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner are no longer dating. Fans of the Puerto Rican musician lived for the news, but it seems some on the internet are thirsting for a reunion.
"The evil has been defeated. Bad Bunny, we are so back," wrote one Twitter user in response to the news of the 2023 break up. Another wrote, "back in business," following the iconic meme of Jennifer Lopez's "Mi gente Latino."
Yet, the 2025 release has headlines buzzing about whether Bad Bunny's album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOTos – translation, I Should Have Taken More Pictures -- was about Jenner. In a new interview, the "Nuevayol" singer addressed the rumors.

"I have written songs inspired by people that people don't have a f---ing clue who they are. The meaning of the song can vary in many things, like the absence of a person who is no longer with you, or a love. But it can be many other things too, that are no longer there."
Although he kept it vague, he continued to share that the album is a love letter to Puerto Rico. Simple. Felt through its iconic samples -- cue "Un Verano en Nueva York" by El Gran Combo -- and chants, it's clear why the artist would be irritated by the question.
“At times you are perhaps a little nostalgic, a little sentimental… But at the same time, you are enjoying other things: playing dominoes with grandparents or with the family,” he said.
As for why Latinos despise Bad Bunny's relationship history, the history is quite loaded. Before his rise to stardom -- in America -- the musician was a strong advocate for his people, their culture and social issues. He was also dating Gabriela Berlingeri at the time, whom his fans adored. However, after partnering with a Kar-Jenner, fans worried that his foray into American culture would result in him compromising his own.
As a result, fans have rejected this relationship since February 2023, when news broke that the Puerto Rican musician was dating Jenner. By May 2023's Met Gala, the pair was spotted together rocking matching outfits on the way to an after party and eventually the couple confirmed -- or shall we say, hard launched -- their relationship in Gucci's Valigeria campaign, smiling from ear to ear. By this point, fans had already given up hope on their not-so-problematic fav. So, when news released of their break up in 2023, Twitter went nuts.
