It seems like Fyre Festival -- the infamous music festival founded by con artist Billy McFarland and rapper Ja Rule that ended up getting its own documentary -- is returning.

McFarland, who was sentenced to six years in prison in 2018 after promoting the fraudulent event with models like Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber and Emily Ratajkowski, took to Twitter to make the announcement. "Fyre Festival II is finally happening. Tell me why you should be invited," he wrote.

Not much information is available as of writing, although McFarland replied to a few tweets. "Going to crush the island version first, but @ElonMusk Fyre 3 definitely needs to be in space," he added.

McFarland, although sentenced to six years, was released early from prison into community confinement last year. The 31-year-old sold over 5,000 tickets to what seemed like a luxury, exclusive, private event that was planned to happen across two weekends on a private beach in the Bahamas. Ja Rule, who worked with McFarland on the festival, later claimed that he was scammed and was officially dismissed from a $100 million USD class-action lawsuit.

Stay tuned as more details on Fyre Festival II become available.
