Kelly Clarkson is officially kicking off her new era in new music. The singer shared a snippet of her upcoming song "Me," which will be the lead single from her forthcoming album Chemistry.

In the snippet, she sings, "I don't need somebody to hold me/ Don't need somebody to love me/ Don't need somebody to pick these pieces up/ I put together my broken/ Let go of the pain I've been holdin'/ Don't need to need somebody when I got me."

When Clarkson announced her upcoming LP in March, she revealed a lot of it was inspired from her divorce with ex Brandon Blackstock, whom she shares two children with.

"I didn't want people to think that I was just coming out with something [where I'm like], 'I’m angry, Im sad,' just one or two emotions," she said in an Instagram video. "This album is definitely the arc of an entire relationship, and a whole relationship shouldn’t be brought down to one thing. So there’s the good, the bad, and the ugly kind of thing going on in it."

"Me" drops on April 14. Listen to a snippet below.
