UPDATE (February 24, 2023): Halsey has released a new track -- "Die 4 Me" -- the solo version of Post Malone's "Die For Me," which features herself and Future.

The new track has almost the exact same chorus as the original. However, Halsey added her own twist to the song. The new second verse to "Die 4 Me" actually features lyrics she had tweeted back in 2019 -- six months before Post Malone's version dropped.

In it, Halsey sings, "I hope you think about me every time you touch it/ I hope your new girl hears it and she loves it/ Devil's front door and/ I'm bangin' on the line/ If I said I want a answer, I'd be lyin', I'd be lyin', yeah/ They say what the devil can't do/ He's gon' send a woman to/ You seek to hide, you're dead inside, won't see me."

ORIGINAL STORY (February 17, 2023): Halsey has revealed she's releasing a new song. The "Without Me" singer announced she's dropping the solo version of "Die For Me," which is originally a collab with Post Malone.

"Next Friday, I've got a little surprise coming," she wrote on Twitter. "Some of you guys know there's a demo of 'Die For Me' with just me on it. I performed my verse on the tour all summer long and since so many people have asked for it, I decided to put my full version out as 'Die 4 Me' on 2/24."

The original "Die For Me" also features Future and was released as part of Post Malone's 2019 album, Hollywood's Bleeding. In that track, Halsey sings the last verse as well as the final chorus along with Post Malone. Her verse features the following lyrics:

"Settle down, I spell it out, it's simple enough/ I came around, I figured out, should follow my gut/ I don't play anymore, I went through your phone/ And caught the girls in your DM's and took all them home/ And I know it's been a while since the last time you heard from me/ Grew into a savage and that's why they gave this verse to me/ Turns out at shows 'cause they turn out at shows/ I sold 15 million copies of a break-up note/ Brought some strangers in our beds/ And now you lost your right to privacy/ Spilling all our secrets/ When you thought they'd probably die with me/ Know you f-cking love it on the low/ And you don't have to say I'm crazy/ 'Cause I know nothing's changed."

Stay tuned for Halsey's new version "Die 4 Me," out on February 24. Check out her announcement and revisit the original track below.
