Earlier this month, BIGHIT MUSIC announced that K-pop supergroup BTS is going on hiatus with the goal of each member pursuing solo projects instead. Now, the music label has unveiled that J-Hope -- who recently joined Lollapalooza's lineup as a headliner -- is set to release his first solo album and single.

Titled Jack In The Box, the album is described to "lend voice to J-Hope’s aspirations to break the mold and grow further" while representing the artist's personality and vision. While not much information has been revealed so far, the K-pop label has shared that the first single off of the upcoming project will arrive on July 1.

With this announcement, J-Hope marks the first member of BTS to embark on a solo journey. Stay tuned as we learn more about Jack In The Box, which is slated to release on July 15.

In case you missed it, the musician's bandmate Jungkook recently dropped a single with Charlie Puth.
