Kristen Stewart Stars in Steamy A24 Romantic Thriller, 'Love Lies Bleeding'

Following her Oscar win for her portrayal of Princess Diana in Spencer, Kristen Stewart stars in the upcoming A24 romantic thriller: Love Lies Bleeding.
The upcoming film follows Stewart, a reclusive gym employee, as she "falls hard for Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder headed through town to Vegas in pursuit of her dream. But their love ignites violence, pulling them deep into the web of Lou’s criminal family," revealed A24.
The intense trailer follows themes of revenge and romance as the FBI seemingly closes in on the drama of Lou's family. "I’m going to tell them everything you did," Lou warns her father in the trailer. To which he responds eerily: "Are you threatening me?"
News of the film broke in 2022 by The Hollywood Reporter, reporting the film as an exploration of "desire" and "ego" within the "intense world of bodybuilding." At the time, Stewart's counterpart Katy O’Brian had yet to be cast as they hoped to "cast the lead as authentically as possible."
Award-winning film director Rose Glass co-wrote the script alongside Weronika Tofilska. Glass recently made her writer-director debut with the film Saint Maud, which was also produced by A24.
