Lily Collins Stars in the Upcoming 'Polly Pocket' Movie

Although we're still blushing pink over Greta Gerwig's box office hit Barbie, there is another doll movie in the works as Lily Collins has just been cast as Polly Pocket.

Initially teased in 2021, the movie is directed and written by Lena Dunham, presenting a "smart playful" cinematic experience for young women minus the "condescension." Sharing in a Variety interview, Dunham says, "Polly Pocket was responsible for countless hours of childhood escapism for me -- Polly gave me a tiny world of magic and autonomy to narrate, so it's pretty poetic to be tackling these same ideas now as a director."

While Collins stars as the titular role, she is also credited as a producer. "As a child who was obsessed with Polly Pocket, this is a real dream come true and I can’t wait to bring these tiny toys to the big screen," she added.

Filming hasn't started yet and additional details have yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned for updates.
