Balenciaga's New Campaign Preps Us for a Surrealist Summer

info@hypebae.com (Hypebae)  Tue, 15 Apr 2025  Hypebae

Balenciaga just dropped its High Summer campaign, reimagining the "escapist allure" of traditional resort advertising. Blending surrealist visuals with its signature silhouettes, the result is a saturated selection of portraits set against digital backdrops of seaside scenery.

Lensed by Roe Ethridge, the new campaign places city bags and swimsuits in front of sparkling blue water and clear white sand, all laced with a tinge of computer-generated aesthetics. Starring a slew of models, the campaign showcases High Summer silhouettes like jersey dresses, BB bikinis and bustier swimsuits.

Elsewhere, pieces from Balenciaga's Summer and Fall 2025 collections re-emerge, particularly the Bathrobe Stola and the calfskin sandals from the brand's recent Scholl collaboration. Unsurprisingly, the Le City makes an appearance, this time landing in khaki canvas, along with the new Le City Basket, which comes crafted from woven raffia and lambskin. The newly-launched Carrie Bowling Bag also stars here, accompanied by the black Biarritz Tote and Ski Mask Goggles.

Take a look at the new campaign above, with select images available to download as mobile phone wallpapers from the brand's website.
