Moncler and Willow Smith Officially Unveil Debut Collaboration

First unveiled at The City of Genius in Shanghai, Willow Smith's debut ready-to-wear collection with Moncler has finally landed. A tribute to the concept of juxtaposition and contrast, the collection aims to emulate a futuristic yet functional wardrobe driven by the multihyphenate's personal style and future-facing vision.

"Minimalism and utilitarianism. Femininity and masculinity. Black and white. Bringing juxtaposing ideas together in an elegant way is something that excites me, and I wanted to explore that in this collection," Smith says in a press release.

The collection itself includes standout pieces like a down jacket dress, resembling a sleeping bag in tribute to Moncler's "duvet" coats, which are finished by a detachable hem and oversized pockets. Workwear-inspired canvas trousers also feature a detachable bottom half, paired with classic silhouettes like heavy sweatshirts, cocooning knits and body-skimming base layers, all arriving in a minimal color palette of black and "Moon-dust White."

Drawing on the multifaceted world of Moncler, the co-created collection fuses an inverted "W" and "M" to create an exclusive new monogram logo, complete with silver ring motifs and hardware that echo Willow's signature piercings. Elsewhere, handwritten lyrics to the artist's recent single, "Alone" aim to commemorate her passion for music and self-expression.

Celebrating the collection is a dynamic campaign inspired by movement and Willow's affinity for the outdoors. "I'm incredibly passionate about the outdoors and exploring this magnificent earth. I imagine these clothes effortlessly transitioning from nighttime camping to high-fashion eveningwear," Smith adds.
