Jason Momoa Is Thankful for Fans Giving His Kids Space Amid Lisa Bonet Split

Jason Momoa has spoken out for the first time since he and Lisa Bonet announced their breakup.

The Aquaman star attended The Batman premiere in New York City on March 1 to support Bonet's daughter Zoë Kravitz, who plays Selina Kyle/Catwoman in the movie. Momoa told Entertainment Tonight: "Lisa couldn’t be here, so we’re representing, me and the babies. We’re very excited to just be here … It’s still family, you know?"

Momoa took to Instagram to share photos from the event with his caption stating that he is grateful for being given space by fans and the press since the split. "So excited for everyone to see @thebatman @zoeisabellakravitz your perfect as Catwoman, I'm so proud of you. So excited for @snl next week, you're going to kill it," Momoa starts his message. "Mahalo to the fans and press for being generous and giving us space for the children, it’s hard enough separating in the public eye. We appreciate the continued privacy through these times," he continued.

Earlier this year, Momoa and Bonet released a joint statement revealing they are "parting ways in marriage" though "the love between [them] carries on." The exes started dating in 2005 and tied the knot in 2017. During their relationship, they welcomed two children -- Lola in 2007 and Nakoa-Wolf in 2008.
