Megan Thee Stallion is taking a stand and canceling her upcoming Houston concert to honor those who died at Travis Scott's Astroworld Festival.

"Out of respect for the lives lost in Houston earlier this month, I have decided to cancel my show at 713 Music Hall on Dec. 3," the Texas native said in a statement obtained by People. "Houston is still healing, and it’s important that our community be given the appropriate time to grieve. My heart goes out to all the families that are suffering during this difficult time."

The Astroworld Festival tragedy caused by crowdsurging occurred on November 5, in which 10 lives were lost and several were injured. As a result, over 140 lawsuits were filed, leading Scott, Drake, Apple Music, Live Nation, NRG Stadium and more facing a lawsuit of over $2 billion USD.

Since the casualties, Scott has offered to cover funeral expenses of the victims, which several of their families have reportedly rejected.
