Beyoncé Postpones Highly Anticipated Announcement -- But The Fan Theories Haven't Stopped
info@hypebae.com (Hypebae) Wed, 15 Jan 2025 HypebaeDue to the Los Angeles wildfires, Beyoncé postpones her highly anticipated “January 14th” announcement. In turn, the Houston artist's charity BeyGOOD donates $2.5 million USD for LA fire relief efforts.
Following the viral Beyoncé Bowl on Netflix, a halftime performance at the NFL Christmas Day game, Beyoncé teased her latest drop. Given the recent release of Cecred Hair Care and SirDavis whiskey, fans have hypothesized every option from a new album to cigars.
However, fan theories that once dominated social media temporarily took a back seat as California's Santa Ana winds picked up and seemingly caused the wildfires. According to Variety, "BeyGOOD, which was established in 2013, will provide the funds to families in Altadena and Pasadena, two areas that were devastated by wildfires that broke out on Tuesday. In addition to helping those who lost their homes and possessions, BeyGOOD will also assist churches and community centers in other impacted areas to address the immediate needs of people affected by the fires."
For those unfamiliar, the city of Altadena holds generations of Black history and wealth. Unfortunately, the gravesite of iconic American author Octavia E. Butler was burned leading many back to her work.
Few fans outside of California have continued to speculate, though. "I see why she wanted to make the announcement today," one fan tweeted along with a picture of a Tina Turner tribute. Turner, the "Queen of Rock n' Roll," was born on January 14th -- the cancelled announcement date. Now, if you've been keeping track of fan theories, you know that many suspect Renaissance: Act III will be a Rock album highlighting the greats like Turner and Betty Davis. The Dream, her go-to producer, also tweeted an alleged Easter egg referencing Turner's impact. Fans flooded the replies questioning if The Dream was making the announcement slyly, for Bey herself. But, he shortly deleted the tweet and followed up with another.
"Yall know everything that's sis comes from sis. I may hint some things but this wasn't one of those times. This is purely about celebrating the life of Tina Turner and sincerely working from the heart on directions she left behind." Of course, fans do not believe this and cited "damage control."
Stay tuned for updates.
