Dogecoin, the meme cryptocurrency that has soared over 600 percent after tweets from Elon Musk, saw another jump today thanks to Snoop Dogg. After the rapper shared a photoshopped image of the Shiba Inu dog, prices increased by more than 55 percent, setting a new record for DOGE.

Joining Musk's Dogue magazine cover, Snoop posted a parody of his R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece album cover with the pup replacing his face. Along with the tweet, he tagged Elon Musk in the caption to reference the ongoing craze around cryptocurrency. The post received more than 206,000 likes and nearly 40,000 retweets, with DOGE rising from $0.056 USD to $0.0872 USD in a few hours.

Adding onto the boost, Elon Musk responded with numerous memes, including a Lion King-inspired image showing Gene Simmons, Snoop and himself holding up a Shiba Inu. He continued with tweets reading, "Who let the Doge out." As of now, year to date DOGE is up more than 1,380 percent.
