Brenda Song and Cole Sprouse Have a Mini 'Suite Life' Reunion in Lana Condor Interview

To coincide with the release of HBO Max's Moonshot, Brenda Song virtually sat down with Lana Condor to talk about the new film, with which she stars alongside Cole Sprouse.

At the beginning of the chat, just after Song and Condor say their hellos, Sprouse video bombs the interview for a mini Suite Life reunion with his former co-star. “This is not fair. When I found out that you got to do a solo interview with her, I was so upset,” Sprouse says. “No, you weren’t. You don’t answer my texts. You don’t want to talk to me,” Song jokingly responds. “I miss you, what the heck!” Sprouse adds.

Song then continues her interview to talk about Moonshot and what drew Condor to the project. “I don’t often get scripts that are space-oriented for the 20-year-old,” Condor admits. “The initial excitement of getting something fresh and new that I don’t often get to read was the initial interest,” she adds. “It’s a really fun, feel-good movie. It’s an adventure. Something that I really wanted for my career is to do projects that make people feel happy after watching it.”

The talents then touch upon the topic of spearheading Asian representation in Hollywood. “I just wanted to say you were the sole actor that I looked up to as a child because I was like, ‘She looks like me,'” Condor tells Song. “[I thought to myself] she’s in programming that is widely commercial and that is very hard to be the only Asian woman in a very commercial setting, especially during that time.”
