Urban Decay Is Bringing The OG Naked Palette Back

Let's bring it back to 2018 when the beloved Urban Decay Naked palette broke the internet and took over every Sephora and Ulta. What if we told you the palette is back and no longer discontinued... but only for a limited time. Yes, run, don't walk.

In the clean girl era we live in, eyeshadow might seem dead, but Urban Decay is here to teach the new gen that it is in fact not. To provide some historical context for those who don't know the lore, the incredibly popular Naked palette came about when the team realized their top eyeshadow picks for a desert island all leaned toward versatile nude shades, showing they all just wanted to wear "Naked" colors.

Since the launch of the palette, more than 30 million palettes were sold. One Naked palette was sold every six seconds until its discontinuation in August 2018 -- but why did it go?

One potential reason as to why Urban Decay discontinued the product was that it wasn't vegan or cruelty-free during a time when the beauty industry was collectively making efforts to be more sustainable.  However, this updated version not only features a slightly longer mirror but is also vegan, with a cruelty-free brush. The 12-pan palette has been carefully color-matched to the original, with an improved formula that makes the shadows creamier and easier to blend for a longer-lasting effect. Expect your OG favorites: "Sin," "Sidecar" and "Smog."

The Naked palette is available for a limited time from August 4, exclusively in Ulta stores and the Ulta website.
