According to TikTok, If You’re Not Using the "Upside-Down" Lash Curler Method, Are You Doing It Right at All?

I'm genuinely a mascara girl. Nothing makes me feel more alluring than a few swipes of my favorite eyelash enhancers to make me feel ever so bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. This past winter, I had my makeup done for an event, and the MUA asked if I wanted my lashes curled before she applied the mascara. Apprehensively I said yes, as I had never dreamed of playing with a lash curler before. As she showed me how to use the coveted tool independently, I thought I had it down and mastered.

Now, according to TikTok, I may have learned how to curl my lashes incorrectly.

For the beauty enthusiast, many trends may be popping up on our FYPs. The most recent one is the case of the eyelash curler being used upside-down to attain the most length and volume ever. Initially shared by beauty creator Audrey Boos, she's seen in a clip flipping the curler upside down for delicious results.

To safely attain the look on bare lashes, Boos recommends that one clamps down gently on the lash "mid-shaft to the ends of the lashes" to straighten them out. Next, you want to flip the curler back to its rightful position and curl as per usual — from the rooter to the tooter. Finish with your favorite mascaras and you're done. Having tried this method myself, I can 100% say that my lashes appeared fuller as if they were sans lash extensions. (Boys generally have longer lashes, but it truly works.)

Don't believe it? Take a closer look ahead and try it for yourself.
