Here's the $3 USD Hair Product North West Uses to Style Her Ponytail

The 9-year-old can sing, dress, content create and now, do her own <a href="https://hypebae.com/tags/hair">hair</a> better than I could at that age. In a recent hair tutorial posted to North and Kim’s shared TikTok account, the rising star gives herself a chic low ponytail paired with edges laid to the heavens.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Like most curly-headed girls, North begins with dampened tresses for manageability. She next grabs ahold of what seems to be a combination of leave-in <a href="https://hypebae.com/tags/conditioners">conditioners</a> and smoothing creams for hair prep. Unlike <a href="https://hypebae.com/2022/8/kim-kardashian-side-part-hairstyle-photos-instagram">Kim’s notorious middle part,</a> North reaches for her rat tail comb and gives herself a curved side part followed by a generous slather of the <a href="https://www.ulta.com/p/olive-oil-gel-pimprod2032930?sku=2594046&cmpid=PS_Non!google!Product_Listing_Ads&cagpspn=pla&CATCI=aud-842617173106:pla-945426963085&CAAGID=107718645316&CAWELAID=330000200002879560&CATARGETID=330000200002837354&CADevice=c&gclid=CjwKCAjwtp2bBhAGEiwAOZZTuBWKZsNq0JJ5yfKL0PxtLTJmMyVTh33ZTQDfJBzlTSoT4JlTwJ4RJxoCweMQAvD_BwE">$3 USD Eco Style Olive Oil Gel</a> to help slick all of her hair in place. The gel is applied to the outer layer of the hair and worked down to achieve a sleek hold throughout. North then uses her <a href="https://babytress.com/products/edge-styler">Baby Tress Edge Styler</a> to remove her baby hairs prior to pulling her ponytail into place. (This method is used on natural hair because it’s difficult to pull our edges out after having them slicked back.) Eventually, Kim is tapped in for assistance and helps her daughter brush her hair into a low pony, using a comb to smooth out any bumps.
